Terms and Conditions

1.   Definitions
1.1  “The Company“ is Personal Crosswords which is the sole compiler and supplier of crosswords ordered through www.personalcrosswords.com and www.personalcrosswords.co.uk. 
1.2  “The Customer” is the person or entity that has ordered a crossword from The Company using the order form on the Company’s website.
1.3  “The Crossword” is the finished product despatched to the customer, taking the form of a crossword grid and clues in a greetings card, together with the solution to the puzzle in a separate envelope.
1.4  “The Order” is the completed form on the company’s website in which the customer specifies the details of the crossword required.
1.5  “The Payment” is the sum paid for the crossword which must be made by debit or credit card through Google Checkout at the time of the customer raising the order or by sterling cheque posted with a completed order and sent to Personal Crosswords
1.6  “Despatch date” is the date on which the company delivers the crossword to the postal services

2  The Company’s obligations
2.1 The company will supply the crossword compiled specifically for the customer on receipt of the correctly completed order
2.2 Whilst despatch of the crossword will be made as soon as possible after receipt of the order, the company’s only obligation is for the despatch date to be within 5 working days of receipt of the order
2.3 If the company fails to despatch the crossword within 5 working days of receipt of the order, the company will make a full refund of the payment through the Google Checkout system for credit or debit card payments or by £ sterling cheque if payment was made by cheque
2.4 The company cannot be held liable for the time taken by the postal services to deliver the crossword to the customer
2.5  The company will only despatch the crossword to the address supplied by the customer on the order
2.6  The company cannot be held liable for any incorrect information (such as the name of the recipient or the address of the customer) supplied on the order or any consequences therefrom
2.7 Under no circumstances whatsoever will the company’s financial liability to the customer be greater than the payment made by the customer

3  The Customer’s obligations
3.1 The customer agrees to accept these terms and conditions in their entirety.  No order will be accepted unless the customer has indicated such acceptance on the order form
3.2 The customer agrees to make payment, at the time of making the order, by credit or debit card through the Google Checkout facility accessed through the order form or by post to the address shown on the order, enclosing a sterling cheque together with a copy of the completed order
3.3  The customer accepts that, whilst despatch will be made as soon as possible after receipt of the order, the company’s liability shall be limited to that outlined in 2.2 above
3.4  The customer accepts that the company’s liability in any dispute is limited to the payment made by the customer
3.5  The customer accepts that in any dispute with the company the company’s decision on the matter is final and binding
